Coming and going, I feel like that has been the theme of my life since graduating from high school in 2018. I spent some time outside of the country on short term traveling trips, but in 2019 I’ve lived in three different countries for at least eleven weeks each and in 2020 too, am I trying to travel as much as possible. Home-home, or thuis-thuis as we would call it in Dutch, will always be a town in the Netherlands, called Lemmer. That is where I grew up and spend most of my life.
But since I started traveling in 2015, a lot more places have received the name home-away-from-home and many more people have become like family to me. It has been in the coming, going and all the in-betweens that God has taught and is still teaching me a lot.

My friends know how much I love sharing stories (don’t get me started on some of those, because I will just keep on talking) and I finally decided to start an English blog for all those stories that are now just in my head. There won’t be a standard type of post I’ll be writing, just as there is no schedule whatsoever for the posting on this blog. 

Oh, maybe I should tell you a bit about myself too. My name is Rimke and although I was born and raised in the Netherlands, I’m often somewhere else on this planet. The easiest way to find out where I currently am, is to read my blogposts.
I love adventures, from camping on beaches in Africa to hiking and sleeping under a  ground sheet in the mountains of Norway, but also watersports on one of the lakes close to my home. But all that is only fun with friends. I love catching up with friends, whether that is in real life or through the wonderful world of internet!
